Hang in there TL! Loves does exist and it can be wonderful. The only proof you need is people like you and I who, despite all the awful, hurtful words and actions from the very person we have always loved and counted on, we at least tried every way we knew how to keep OUR love alive! We still believed as do so many others who have every right to hate the WAS but treat them with love and kindness no matter what they get in return. Those are the people who PROVE love does exist and it will for you again. Of that I'm certain!

thanks Matt - I really appreciate that. Your kind words are very helpful. It is so nice to have a group like this to support each other. Otherwise I think we'd all feel so alone.

You got that right, TL (and Matt, too). What did people do many years ago, without a forum like this???

TL, I am sure you will have love again in your life. I have been having some down time recently and I also started to think that I would never be involved in another relationship, because this is just so painful. In my happy moments I still hope that I meet a special guy again and I will experience love again.
Hang in there.

Thanks for all your responses, I do hope that is the case.
Today would have been our 11th wedding anniversary so it's a cr@ppy feeling but I have been in a pretty good mood most of the day. Going out with my girlfriend tonight to see a band and have a drink. My mom was telling me that it does get easier after the first wedding anniversary after a divorce passes but that you really never forget the date, so each year I'll think about it, but these firsts are the hardest. I'm going to list my goals and blessings in my journal later just to reinforce positive thinking. Sitting around being depressed is not going to change anything or help me so I'll simply keep on living smile have a great weekend everyone. I see yard work in my future!

TL,been away for a while, but make it a point to check in on your posts. I'm thinking of you today, especially. I think you put it so well, that you're looking forward to getting past all the "firsts."

You sound good, TL. My 21st anniversary is in less than a month. Our 20th was not acknowledged (it was 2 days after BD). Gotta make some plans for myself. It's just 1 day, after all. You get through it, just like all the other days. Hope you have fun tonight.

TL, I am amazed how well you are moving through the process. It will get easier, even though you will still think about the whole thing on every date that used to be special to you. I hope you have a great time tonight.

thanks everyone - yep it was just another day and I got through it like all the others. I have a little more anger today, sort of a "f*ck you exH" attitude going on. what a waste of feelings. decided to be lazy and made myself a waffle for breakfast and laying around watching penny dreadful and a movie. girlfriends and I are going out to see a band tonight so that will be a nice distraction. Every day is a new day. must keep a positive attitude.
