I don't know...maybe others will disagree, but I think one of the things that took me too long to learn was "don't take the bait". If things start to escalate - take a deep breath and excuse yourself...especially if the F bombs are flying and your kid is present. It's hard to do, but it gets easier. At least you guys rebounded and ended on a high note. Taking her to work...man, you are a better person than I. I would struggle with that.
