My attorney bills keep creeping up. I tried to get a loan to help pay for them, but no dice. My debt to income ratio is too high because they can't include H's income since we are separated but the debt is still in my name so I am screwed. I knew this was the case but I was hoping there was something someone could do.
So I need to get another job or something to come up with this money. I have tried selling some stuff online. No takers. None, zero, zip, nada. I am hoping my attorney will continue to work with me.
In the meantime, H keeps doing what he can to increase my attorney bill. Anything to dig the knife in a little deeper.

Can you manage your attorney a little better? I haven't read through your entire sitch, so I don't know all the details. I told my attorney not to respond to things unless it will hurt me in court. ie: H's L wants to call him and "talk about things." I told him to sit on his hands and unless they file something, he knows my position and to respond accordingly when something is FILED IN COURT. If it's not filed, and the L's are just yammering together, it's costing you $$ you do not have.
How can your H raise your attorney's bills? I guess I don't understand? Frivolous motions?
Just to reiterate: Tell your attorney not to talk to them unless it's DIRE. That' 15 minutes here and there adds up.
