Yeah, it's scary hearing about people living beyond their means. I look at my own budget at the moment and know that I'm living within my means but it could be a whole lot healthier. I really think financial education, house ownership and availability of credit needs to be addressed as a lot of people are going to be in trouble down the road. When I was earning $100k pa I was told I could borrow over $600k for a house when I had less than $20k in my bank account. They're scary figures and some people take up those kinds of offers.
