Using part of the money I got for the rental I hired a guy to come in once a week and do yard work. Today was his first day. And I must say, wow that guy knows his way around a weed eater....

He works for my neighbor, too. I got a chuckle when I was introduced to him. About 6'5", Rangy, full head of hair, Samoan, looks about 45 or 50. And a million watt smile.

I can't make this stuff up. He said his daughter cleans houses, but I'm just not quite ready for that. I always end up with more broken stuff than is worth it. But with the help in the yard I will be able to concentrate on the inside more myself.

I hope everyone is doing well!

Wendy,
I'm glad you found someone to do the yard work. Every little bit helps. That is one more thing off your list and now you can devote your time to doing things that you want to do.

Hahaha - love it!!!

I hear you on the housecleaners - it's like there's a union rule they have to break one item every time they come! I finally have one who doesn't do that, but she's the first!

So the renter I picked is turning out to be less of a great guy than I had hoped. He waned to buy my X's truck. I gave him 10 days to get the money, now it is all sob stories about his broken tooth, and other money woes.

He also keeps taking beers out of my fridge on the shared lanai. He said to me "Hey, I owe you some beer". Then tonight he has a young woman at his place and he introduces her as his new accountant for his handyman business. Then he informs me it is okay if she is there and he isn't.

I don't recall any part of his lease that allows him to run his business out of my house. I don't foresee him getting his 6 month lease renewed. And I'll be rereading it tomorrow to find out how I can ask him to leave sooner.

I believe the part that rankled me was the statement of her being there instead of asking me was that okay. Perhaps he is a fan of the "Easier to beg forgiveness than ask permission school". But I'm not!

Oh well!
