I agree. She needs to do something about the BF situation before goofing around with you. I think you did the right thing. Also, IMO, in-office romances are not always a great idea. They can end very poorly.
I wish you well with mediation. I just finished mine a couple of weeks ago and am signing my D papers in the morning. Mediation didn't go exactly the way she had hoped. She should have taken my original offer...
