jp is giving you great advice, their are no guarantees here, except that if you work on becoming the best YOU can be then the guarantee is that YOU will be an AWESOME person.

Your husband probably has lots of work to do on himself, let him do it, he may not even know that he has to yet, however it is not your job to FIX him.

You did not break him and you can not FIX him.
