The reason I am signing up as separated is because we are living apart and I do not have but 396 a month child support and then the 200 dollars a month plus groceries H gives me...he pays the bills but I only actually get 596 dollars a month cash in hand, plus have my bills paid for me and groceries purchased..so I get a little over 100 dollars a week to spend...which amounts to nothing in Alaska...especially for me, as I do not drive and have to take cabs to get places. Anyway, he said he was going to take me off the insurance and said he was filling out dissolutionment papers and said he was filing our taxes...and said he would just offer me a settlement and that I could not get a lawyer or he would not offer me such a good settlement...and I got scared...so I called legal services who have not called me back and I called the counseling services who are going to help me...they will get me a case manager to help me get things moving in my life to get my life back on track...with or without my husband...I told the counseling place what my circumstances were and they said to come in and do an intake as a separated woman ...
