And Now I Am A Homeowner!

Several months ago I had a 'guest' therapist, supervising my therapist. He sat in on a session. And he asked he a funny question. He asked if I had a magic wand what would I change in my life. My answer was that I would keep my house. Which was funny, because I have been thinking to move was my best solution.

So I contacted several mortgage people. And the guy I used really did pull a rabbit out of a hat. But I get to keep my house which I love. I didn't have to pay much, because part of the divorce decree was foe the credit card debt to be paid out of the proceeds from the house.

I spent the last year getting those paid down and finally off. I also paid off the truck, which was mine in the divorce. So I gave that to my X. So I gave him a $15K truck. And the rest of the proceeds was supposed to go to me as cash. He kept the boat and his retirement funds.

I will have to rent out the guest house (AKA Love Shack) and maybe the two big bedrooms. The house is big and very dividable. I am sure there are some fine people who will appreciate a chance to live in such a cool place.

Now I just need to get a promotion and I will be able to hire a gardener!
