Bea, I'm sorry. I can't tell you what to do, but I do have a question for you to think about. How long are willing to put up w/his behavior before you file harassment charges or get a restraining order against him? It's evident that he's not going to give up until you either admit that there was an error (which we know isn't there) or you buy him off and tell him to go to h@ll. I do think that he's bound and determined to do this until you are on your knees begging for mercy and asking what you can do to get rid of him.
