Their head(s) is (are) in the clouds. They cannot grasp the real world. I had that experience with H yesterday. We met at D's school performance and after it was over he just walked out. No words, nothing. Didn't try to go by her class to wave to her, didn't say goodbye to me or try to make small talk or anything. I was p*$$ed at first. I felt like he felt he was too good to respond or talk to me. But then I thought, why? He is off in his own little world and he will be there until he is forced to leave that world. I am better off.

He will respond if and when he feels like responding. You did nothing wrong. He would more than likely be angry if he found out and you didn't tell him. You can't win, so just do what you need to do.
