And, D11 is ok. No lunch. She seemed relieved and glad her friend was able to stay with her the entire visit. This is a good friend!
I told him how much I appreciated his hanging around. They spent most of the time outside. I told him, in my opinion, doing that is the way to go and, within no time, he will be able to take her to lunch. He seemed angry/irritated when I said that, so I STFU.
He made no mention of the barn roof or anything else around the house.
It felt like someone who has come to this decision about me and didn't want to talk to me too long because it may sway his opinion...easier to stay away.
I did tell him how I was writing about the stuff in his plant and I joked about it, but he brought the conversation to a quick close. This was different. Normally, he hangs and talks to me.
Didn't tell me goodbye and I didn't really make an effort to say goodbye either. Just let it go. I was nice and it's over and I'm still calm and D11 is ok. Whew!!
