Bright, I wouldn't worry about how I looked. You were being yourself and had a cold. As for your h running out quickly at the end of the night...the man doesn't know what to say or do around everyone. He's still feeling a bit uncomfortable about things and quite frankly, he should.
Roll w/the punches and enjoy your vacation. I wouldn't worry about him too much because he's a big boy and can take care of himself.
