Tonight is making German inspired food nite for my 2 high schoolers. S18 went ahead and made his pretzels with his girlfriend earlier. D15 and I made a pound cake which is baking now. Man is it heavy!!

Basketball is a bright spot in that we just won at least a share of our 10th straight conference title. Not an easy thing in this day and age. Sad part is that the season is almost over. Hopefully we will go all the way this year.

Another night of being exhausted.

Please stop by with pretzels and pound cake! I could eat either one of them right now (or both)!

My client in Olathe is continuing to be non-committal. It's bugging the daylights out of me. I will let you know as soon as I get something in writing...

However, if you're in KC the night of May 5, I'm spending the night there with D20 and her BF on our way back from NY. Any chance of that?

So why the German food? That sounds like a fun thing to do.

Both of my high schoolers are taking German. Once a year all of the kids taking a foreign language have an International food day where they bring something that fits their language.

Man that pound cake weighed a ton!! I got a small bit saved for me. smile. S18 saved a few pretzels too. Yum. My daughter was so proud that she made it with Mom just reading off directions and ingredients . It was fun too as we sang and cooked.

Bets, I can certainly drive over to see you in May and even when Olathe gets set. I might take off early even if my boss doesn't care. smile

I am going to bed early tonight, between basketball and extra cooking & cleaning, I am beat. Yep, yet again.

I found a very part time side job! Kind of excited as it will be different from what I do now. Maybe only 5 hours or so a week but that is fine for now. The guy who owns our building will have me reconciling statements and just doing some paperwork for him.

This should help get my car paid off early as I have planned.

That's great! extra money with very little time input is excellent. Just enough to make your goals!

I think my ex needs to get a dum@ss award. D15 is going to Disney with her Marching band this Friday. I have bought her toiletries, snacks and some socks and underwear. I asked ex if he was going to give her any money for her trip. He looked at me dumbfounded..."do I need to?". Well I would say so since I bought all this stuff for her and she might need a bit more money than my parents gave her.

He really doesn't have a clue does he? I do have to give him credit for paying his half of the cost of the trip. But then can I remind you guys he makes at least 2.5 times what I do but he insists we must split stuff in half. I am so much better off. Now let it go kat.

S21 asks him for help with college. Usually helps a little but not always. S18 is on his insurance and while his dad hasn't asked for money, he has noticed that he hasn't paid it.

I figure that is between them. On another note, last week when we had a few inches of snow, my neighbor and I were backing out of our drive ways and tapped each other. At the time I remember thinking I was just stopped getting ready to put my car into drive, she was still partly in her drive way. We didn't see any damage. She saw some gray which looked like dirt as I didn't have any paint transfer. It didn't seem like there was any damage so we both went on our merry way.

Now a week later, she is coming over and saying that her bumper is loose and she has an estimate of $600 and $1400. She said she isn't saying there is any fault but that her insurance won't pay without talking to me and hearing what I have to say. So is she out for money or what? Why did she wait a week? Just another thing to put on my plate.
