It's frustrating to try and reason with someone who's unreasonable. Our H are living in a selfish, all-about-me world.

I don't think you handled yourself poorly. You, like the rest of us, keep a lot of things to yourself. There may have been a time in our M that we would have called our H out on a lot of things, but that time has passed for now. You kept your focus on listening to him, but countered your example to make a point.
