This was after 24 yrs of marriage and 3 older children
I just had that little gem thrown my way a few weeks ago. Granted, we haven't been married for 24 years.
My wife got pregnant with our son before we got married.
W: I never wanted kids or to get married. M: Then why did you say yes when I asked you to marry me? W: Well, we had our son together and you seemed like a really great guy and I thought that was what I wanted at the time. (we got married after she had our son) M: So you don't want to be married now? W: I never said that.
It frustrates the ever living crap out of me. It's the mixed signals nearly every L.B.S. deals with. In one breathe they're talking about how they never wanted to get married. In the next they say they never said they don't want to be married.
