The bullying has really gotten out of hand, not only w/the students and parents, but the teachers as well. It's important that the principle is aware of the situation because he/she has the most power to do something about the situation. The counselors listen, but their power isn't quite so great.
If the situation for your daughter doesn't improve even after you've met with the staff at the school, then schedule an appointment with the superintendent of the school system. I honestly believe if you meet with them, you'll get this matter corrected in no time. Don't wait too long because your daughter's mental and emotional state will take a hit over and over again until the bully is called on his/her behavior and realizes that adults are aware and watching.
Sit quietly, the answers will reveal themselves when you least expect them to. The past is gone, the present is a gift and you need to focus on today, allow the future to reveal itself when it is ready.
Gabby - thank you. I agree with you and mirage they need to learn this now.
Hey Mirage...just for the record you had me cracking up reading this. After I picked myself up from the floor...i said..."hey - he is right - i was married to one" .
Job - as usual, spot on and many many thanks. I am watching and waiting. I will include the principal as well. BTW, I will be potentially driving past your neck of the woods on my way to VA the end of this month/begining of next month. I believe we have a few mutual friends, so if want to connect, you know how to reach me.
Once again - thank you everyone.
