Aww, BA. Then there's the question I'd want answered first: is it just prolonging a painful life? And if so, how long? It's such a personal decision.
My former boss is very clear on what he wants. He has told the doctors (and those of us who are close) that he would rather die on the 50 yard line with gusto and give life everything he has rather than get hit on the 50 and crawl to the end zone. He could take Nexavar, but it is also ridiculously expensive, and they believe that it will only add 3 months of life. He's decided he'd rather have all his faculties than to buy 3 months that won't change the outcome. So... we honor that. If he needed that extra time to get things in order, I might voice a differing opinion. But he's taken care of that, and he just wants to enjoy his friends and family for 100% of the time he has left. Can't speak for his family, but as friends, we're going to do that.
Kat - they showed KC on the news this morning. Yikes! We aren't getting that much snow - probably have 3 inches now and it's blowing and still snowing, but school wasn't delayed. At least they have the trucks out there in full force. I came in late (my normally 15 minute commute was an hour today) and will probably leave early too. And it's cold. So stay warm and don't go anywhere! If I had that choice, I'd have stayed home too.
