He's only going to get worse for the next few days because he's in a state of panic. Try to spend some time over at your new place and you know what...your phone is busy...let it go to voice mail and then you can listen to your calls and determine if they are urgent or not. Nothing says you have to respond back asap...let him sweat just a little bit.
