I recall when Ms. Wonka and I graduated out of college, we hired movers to load up our UHaul truck then we did the driving. This is another way to save money. As Heather said, call around for local movers to ask their rates just for loading up and unloading the UHaul truck. Sometimes when the movers include the truck with the labor, the rates go higher which is why we elected the UHaul truck route.
