Final phase of losing wife?

This morning before leaving for work I told w that we have some salt and sand mix left that I could go by her office and spread it on the steps and parking lot because of the ice and snow. She said that's ok. I can take it with me. Told her that it would be messy for her, I don't mind. She comes back saying , in not asking u to do that and go out if ur way unless ur going by there. I told her that I was driving by there to another stop for work. So she was fine with it and told me she really appreciated it.
