I am so sorry to hear about your dad. Scary stuff for sure.
I am glad you guys were able to catch up with the scumbag that was bothering your daughter. Certainly not the kind of world we grew up in. Or maybe it is but now we just hear about all the scary stuff that goes on.
My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Wow BA, that is a lot to deal with, for all of you, sorry you're getting hit with all that. Glad the guy got caught too.

Thanks everyone for your comments and well wishes. My father met with the doctors again yesterday and the prognosis is not good at al. They said he probably has give or take about six months. The radiation he will be receiving is just primarily to help reduce the cancer lesions pressing on the nerves in his spine which is causing some significant amount of pain.
As for the situation with D15, it remains pretty fluid as the police are still reviewing the laptop and cellphone data. I expect we will get a visit from them once they have completed their review of all the data. It's a good thing the scumbag doesn't live here locally and is up in New York state - keeps me out of jail...
I'd text you, but I know Sarah is visiting. Hope thing have improved in your house. You're still in my prayers.
Wonka, happy birthday!
It's been a frustrating week. I'm glad Barb is off enjoying hers, though. I kind of feel like someone handcuffed me to the bike rack and I just can't make progress anywhere. I'm a living blob of protoplasm. Help!
My D19 called me yesterday to let me know she's putting in her applications next week to study spring semester abroad next year. Her first 3 choices are in Australia, and choice #4 is Sweden. Since my dad's family are Aussies, it makes perfect sense to me. 2 of the universities are in Melbourne, and the other in Newcastle. My aunt is a professor at Newcastle, which intrigues her. So while I'm thrilled for her (cause I'm a huge proponent of traveling and living abroad), all I can think of is that I don't see her much in NY. if I can sell my ass off, maybe D16 and I can travel for spring break next year. My baby is growing up.
Ok, well it's almost time to rinse this color out of my hair (I'm at the salon), so everyone have a good weekend.
Sorry Wonks, but I'm a homer and bleeding orange and blue this weekend...and hoping to see a whole lot of Thunder on the sidelines too.
TTFN,
Betsey
