On a bright note, I heard the state patrol is stopping pretty much everyone at the state line, looking for weed. Since I don't look like a weed girl, you want me to bring some?
I promise to make definitive plans once I hear. Don't hold your breath too long, though. We shipped their equipment last March and they're just now ready to install. Not exactly motivated, for whatever reason. Frustrating.

Honestly, I have never tried it. Heck, I have never even been drunk. When I was younger I think I was just high on life. Now I am dragging most of the time. Hmmm, something to think about.

Funny you say this, 'cause my D19 told me something yesterday that made me stifle a laugh.
She's having some issues with her teammate/roommate/BFF, and they need to have a dialogue about it. My D19 is just so focused and the kind of girl who eschews parties so she can make good grades. It's working for her because she's the only one in her cluster of friends/BF's friends whose grades qualify her for junior year abroad. As she was venting yesterday, she said [all in one breath mind you, so I couldn't even say a word] "Mom, I'm like you! I like staying home on weekends and watching movies and maybe having a glass of wine while I hang out!" Then she went into a litany some place else.
What I truly wanted to say was, "But I wasn't that person when I was 20... I was the one who went to parties on Wednesday nights and got loaded and skipped o-chem class at 8 the next morning! Then I got high in the amphitheatre outside the library with the stoners." I think I'm glad she thinks I'm a loner who does nothing dumb or bad? But she already knows that my past is a little colorful. I guess I'll just let her continue to think that I've always preferred going to bed by 11 and holing up on weekends?!?!
