Had a 2 day work week after my time off with my kids. Still tuckered out, just so much going on.
Anyway tonight S18 and I had a night like we used to before he started working. We had dinner that just the two of us like and watched 2 movies together. It is great that we have the same sense of humor. Of course we had to watch some Hot in Cleveland too. Love that show!
My girls are with their dad this weekend so I anticipate a quiet weekend with snow and cold. Thankfully there will be at least a basketball game this weekend and football tomorrow.
Stay warm everybody. Kat

Woman, you enjoy every minute you have to yourself, okay? You don't get these kind of breaks often enough.
It was 65 here today. I so wanted to get out and walk midday. But stuff kept happening at work, and when I looked outside, it was already dark. Bummer.
But we have a cold front moving in tonight. We're supposed to go to the low 20s tomorrow with snow, and maybe some measurable snow and then in the teens on Sunday. But it is January, after all.
Stay warm and cozy, and be nice to yourself!

My sweet d15. She bought this anime movie while with her dad this past weekend. She says she loves it so much and that the mom reminds her of me. Do we watch it. It's ok and at the end I asked her what made her think of me. She said because I do everything I can to make sure they are alright just like the mom in the movie. Plus she loves me.
Ok I tried not to tear up but wow, really??

Awww!!! That is so sweet! Remember this moment for later because if she's anything like my D14 not always sweet all the time lately.....but awesome that she had that maturity moment!!! All the hours and weeks and years of being a great mom and she noticed BTW, what movie was it and was it good? My kids love anime movies too...BTW, is it FREEZING there--it was 17 here last night-if it's freezing here in FL...must be brrrr where you are...
It was called Wolf Children. She does have her moments. You know, rolling her eyes, walking off in a snit, basically being a 15 year old. D13 said it was like me because I am a mom, the story is about her mom and two kids. She's cute.
D15 can draw for hours, mostly in the anime style. For being self taught, she is really good. Well I think she is really good regardless. I figure when you find a teenager that passionate about something, it is a good thing.
Yesterday on the way to work it was -8. I don't even know what the windchill was but they cancelled school due to the cold. Today it got into the 30's. Gee almost a heat wave!

It was in the 30s here today too...weird...Thanks for sharing about the movie...the kids love anime..and Jamie loves wolves; she's read every book about wolves in existence--fiction and nonfiction--I'll try to surprise her with the movie-she will love it I think...
Like I said, my girls did. S21's girlfriend watched it with us too.
It will be a little colder tomorrow. Maybe snow. I know that whatever melted today is going to freeze up. Cooper loved going for his regular walk. We have not done that the past few days because of the snow and the cold.

Finally we got to do the helicopter ride. Only been cancelled on 3 times! It was pretty neat getting to fly over downtown KC. They did ask me to move the time up and my boss was kind enough to let me use some vacation time and leave work early. I forgot my camera but s18 used his smart phone and took a few pictures. It was pretty cool to have such an uninstructed view!
I am beat! kat
