I will split the insurance and place it in an account so there is NO comingling of funds. As long as I spend any money on maintain the property, then I'm fine. But I want it separate just in case. I have a ledger for all of this.
Also, he has used the 401k for our daughter's education, without my "permission" so I don't think this will be an issue. Not that I would say no, but I wasn't "asked" either. That too was "marital" property! Who knows what else he used it for other than the house and bills.
As for a business license, in my town I'm fine. I won't ever have more than 5 people a day. My bulk will be friends, and I have liability forms EVERYONE signs before I even touch them!

The way I have girl friends come over, it would be hard to tell if they were clients personal friends or both! The neighbor that would notice the most, is one of my next door neighbors. They are live and let live. I used to put flowers out on the curb and he defended me to the town council. Someone complained @@. It was NEVER an issue, and nothing ever came of it.
