Please be very careful. He may turn violent. I knew someone who was being physically abused and it started out with verbal threats, then he started locking her out of the house. Then it turned to physical violence and then death threats. Thank goodness she finally left before he could follow through on the death threats. Every step of the way she kept saying it was a fluke, that he wasn't really like that, that he deserved another chance, etc. etc. Talk to a lawyer ASAP, they will give you direction on how to document this behavior and when it may be appropriate to call the police and file a report.
