Yeah, it's amazing how casual they can be about D papers, like it's a car registration renewal or something. Your W is pushing the D through too fast, your sitch has barely started. Unfortunately you can't reason with her, you're just along for the ride. Sometimes it's not until after D that the WAS starts emerging from the fog, so D isn't necessarily the end of things.
