I have a smartphone that appears to be smarter than me... somehow I managed to send everyone in my contact list (its not long) a blank text. I got an immediate response (text) from my sister. An immediate call from an old BF - concerned I needed help- sweet as he is 100's miles away. And a text from Ex!! Not heard from him since sept, despite all that has been going on with house, but a blank text gets a longish reply. WTF.
Mr Bond - no I have not always been as pessimistic, although I have never been a big fan of the NY celebrations, Christmas has always been a family time. Those we spent alone were at Ex's suggestion. However I have taken onboard your comments re my username. My mind is turned to finding an alternative. This is a year of new beginnings after all.
