I just wanted to throw a good luck with your future vague "calculated risk". I truly hope it works out the way you are hoping it will.
I do think its a good idea, to test the waters a bit.
Even after all you've been thru, the years of work you've put in, the patience you've shown, the no expectations. You've earned a your shot at happiness.
Your posts are truly inspirational to what the process can do.

Hi Melissag...One thing I learned about this detachment topic came from a very good book called Passionate Marriage by David Schnarch. he uses the term differentiated. this describes the process of becoming more of one's self while maintaining proximity to your intimate partner. Tricky balance.
