-Had the furnace break (as always, never breaks 9-5, M-F)...it's an older one, but I chased down the part locally so will be fixing it tonight, saving us a TON of $$$.
-Took s3 to IC for him, it was very good and he has a noticeable relief.
-Cooking, cleaning, yada, yada...lol
W has been extremely busy with work this time of year, it is interesting how she has noticed she doesn't want to do much after work or on her days off, and how she expresses it, and even hinted at having some understanding of why I didn't in the past....
She went out with the work crew this weekend, they are all either M, Christian, or gay, so I felt safe and was super supportive...she needs that after all those isolated years of SAHM and homeschooling.
She handled some emergency stuff really well and was all proud...I told her I was proud. Self-esteem seems to be rising well...
Lots of communication as to her whereabouts, and after the emergency, guess who she called first to talk about it? (Queue TVS)... "This guy..."
So, still don't know where this is going, either way I will survive and soon thrive. My gut still says it'll be okay...it'll come when it's ready, whatever it is.
I had an interesting revelation this morning...you kjnow how we say here, "If you don't know what to do, do nothing, the answer will come"? Well, since W doesn't know what she wants to do (per her recently), and it appears she is doing nothing (outwardly)...so I guess she is doing the right thing then, huh?

T2, You are one busy man. I'm glad you found the part and can repair your furnace yourself. Repairs can be mighty expensive, especially this time of the year.
Your w is opening up a bit more and I'm glad she's sharing w/you. I honestly don't see her doing anything more than staying right where she is at home and w/T2. The new year should be interesting as she is growing up little by little. It'll be time to take another temperature check in early spring...but I still think everything looks good and she's baking up quite nicely.
Good luck fixing the furnace!

I like that you can fix the furnace yourself. Does your W appreciate what a valuable quality that is?
Sounds like she is learning and growing and appreciating you. I'm so glad. And good that S3 got some help.

Thank you job, I am just being me, my best me and who I want to be. The new improvements are pretty well "baked in" by now I think. I just have to keep my antsy under control, which is a bit easier, kinda surprisingly, given the holidays.
The part that failed isn't the "rocket science" part of HVAC, just an inductor motor, so some googled specs and repair manual should get us furnace heat again. W has commented on my "fix-it" abilities, something she likes about me, and this is a proper application of those abilities...lol
But we've been getting by with the firewood and space heaters and thankfully mild winter weather here.

T2, It's always nice to be mechanically inclined. Google has some good repair information on their site. I use them quite a bit too. Nothing like a nice, hot wood fire. It really does keep a place warm and toasty for a long period of time. Be careful w/those space heaters. We've had a very mild winter, especially the last few days here too.
Good luck!

Toasty wood fire, great cooking, happy attitudes...good ingredients going into a Christmas holiday!
You go T^2!!!
