Update on my health stuff since I posted it here earlier. Back to my Dr today to start on Diabetes meds/ diet plan. But that's the least of my worries. The C word has been mentioned a lot in the past 2 weeks. Imagine getting the C & D words at the same time. Anyway - yesterday I drove an hour away to a hospital & had 2 different ultrasounds then got a last minute call that I got squeezed in to be seen by a specialist there in late afternoon. More tests & a painful biopsy. And we had to discuss my upcoming vacation plans which may or may not happen. I told him I really want to go to Hawaii as it is Josh's only vacation time & Ashley has planned for it all year. He said that should be ok but asked if he could call me there - even if it is bad news. (I said ok). He wants me back in his office the day after i get home. I'm booked for Florida 2 weeks later but told him I would cancel that flight if need be.
But it's not all doom & gloom. Might have some results by Fri and his initial exam was somewhat ok. But biopsies tell more. We will see.
So - trying to stay positive. It was a very painful drive home last night. ashley offered to drive but I preferred as it gave me something to think about & the roads and traffic were bad. It is so damn cold here! -26 at times with wind chill of -32. Just 15 days to Hawaii - and I WILL be there!
