I am in the calm. Honestly, when I've felt stress from the magnitude of it all, I have come back and reread Wonka's post to me the other night. It sets my head straight. smile

W's rehab is coming along. My Aunt came yesterday to help me help my W so I can go back to work. (she's super awesome!)

W has been emotional. I'm working on a 180 to not try to "fix" things for her. When she cries out of pain or frustration with her post-op, I sit with her in the feeling rather than trying to say "it's going to be ok", I say "this totally s*cks". It's something she voiced long ago and I'm able to use this time to make the 180 to support her the way she wants. I still try to throw in a little sunshine, but I'm consciously validating how she is feeling and not trying to talk her out of it.

She's been very loving and appreciative for my help.

Yesterday was a pretty good day. Today is going to be better... because I'm not "borrowing trouble" ( winkWonka!)

God is good.

like!

As part of my job, I sit with a lot of tearful people, at least 3 yesterday. It is good to just BE with them, often that's all that's needed.

There's a beautiful poem by Oriah Mountain Dreamer and one line of it is: I want to know if you can sit with pain, mine or your own, without moving to hide it, or fade it, or fix it.

Read the rest of it, it's awesome.

You sound good.

Let me give up the need to know why things happen as they do.
I will never know and constant wondering is constant suffering.

RT,

You got this, girl!! You're doing a good job of supporting and validating W. Feeling stress does not mean you have to act on it. Find other ways to de-stress yourself. Remember this, ok?

Keep on keeping on! grin
