Hello DB family! Well I have just returned today from a wonderful weekend in Kalamazoo Michigan to celebrate my oldest daughter receiving her Doctoral Degree! Needless to say I am one proud Papa! It was great to spend time with her, her husband and my son. We had a great time. The youngsters tried to get their old man snockered on Saturday night after the graduation ceremony, but I held my own and then some! So it was them waking up with the hangover and not me!
Anyhow, the ride from Virgina to Michigan just showed how badly I need some sort of intervention. At one point I had count them 5 women text messaging me at pretty much the same time. One I am currently dating (Julie - more about our Thursday date later), one I went to high school with and want to date badly (Sarah), one I was married to who all of a sudden is showing a lot of interest in me (Denise), one I was dating a while back and seems to want to re-open the door (Marianne) and finally one who I work with who "checks" in with me occassionally enough to make me think she might be interested in more than just a working relationship (Mary). Good grief.
Ok so Thursday's date with Julie was pretty damn good. She is very cute, quite the extrovert and spunky. We had a nice three hour dinner followed by a fair amount of affection! She's a pretty good kisser! ;-) We are scheduled for a second date tomorrow night. Could be promising.
Wednesday night I am meeting Sarah for the first time. I am still looking forward to that since she seems like a really nice person.
Finally, the communication with Sarah from Michigan has really taken off. I have to say I am very, very attracted to her and we have history with going to the same high school and friends, but I keep asking myself how in heck can this work out with her in Michigan and me here.
That's enough for now. I'm exhausted and the Lions are on! Go Lions!!!
