Bright, I would much rather the mlcer's crisis move at a very slow pace and he/she face her demons and heal than to have one of those hurry up situations whereby the mlcer, doesn't heal completely, wants to come home and then leaves again.
Healing at a slower pace is far better than trying to rush the watched pot to boil over.
Sit quietly, the answers will reveal themselves when you least expect them to. The past is gone, the present is a gift and you need to focus on today, allow the future to reveal itself when it is ready.
