Well, no one can say we're just sitting round now, can they? We're the ones responsible for the decorating, the shopping, the wrapping, the card writing, etc, etc, all on our own.

I agree NQ, they can't lol. Today I made arrangements to meet up with my HM friend this afternoon. We'd arranged to meet at 2pm. At 1pm she texts me to cancel (again!) Well at least I've made the effort, now I can say sorry but that was the only free time I had this week.
One good thing came out of this, at least I got to declutter my desk, lol. Still got loads to do before Christmas and my son reminded me today that there's only 10 days left! arghhh!
H took my son swimming today, dropped him off at the door and drove off! Must be in a rush to get to his lady friend's, lol.

You do know it'll be your fault if you can't meet up with her don't you . Is she MLC?

My H was a bit chatty when I dropped my son off, but as it was mainly about the trash I just tuned out. I really don't care how her drive home was after she dropped him back to his place . There may come a day when he'll get it through his thick skull that she is not important to me and that I don't care to hear anything about her.

I dunno if she's MLC, but I do know she's depressed. It better not be my fault that I can't meet up, I'll just have to go with the prepared speech that I've got to do everything myself this year, blah blah. Why does your H think you'd be the slightest bit interested in his OW, the mind boggles! Hopefully he will get the message You should say politely that you're just not interested in hearing about what she's up to.

I hear ya there. I told my W flat out never to mention the not-so-handy-man again, and she actually complied.

I thought it was a good sign that she was texting me at 3 am when the heat quit over there, though.

Thanks MH 3am! seriously! I've started putting my phone onto silent now at night, so no-one would be able to get me at 3am.

I go one better TTD - unless my phone needs charging I leave it downstairs in my bag overnight. No way would I hear it at any time of the night.

My is left downstairs as well. I always put it on charge at night. I took to switching it to silent mode as it would always make me jump when it goes off at night, lol.
Met my friend for a coffee this afternoon. I also managed to say about how busy I was this year, as I've got to do everything myself. I mentioned about that Sunday and she said yes we were both a bit off that day. I just let it go but I thought what a cheek! lol.
I had a lie in this morning, it was bliss We caught the bus and went for some lunch, then we went to the bargain shop and I managed to get all my shopping in there Result! I met my friend for a coffee, but didn't stay long. I went to the card shop and the post office and did a bit more shopping. Phew! I've got presents to wrap later ready to send out tomorrow. Another busy day tomorrow, but at least we get to have some fun I'll update you all tomorrow
My H keeps insisting that he's getting me this book that I don't want. I like the author, but I told him I've not read the last one that she wrote. My son told me that he's looking everywhere for it, it's probably not out! Apparently he's going to look on Amazon for it as well, oh well at least he's trying - very trying, lol. I suppose I could always put it away until I've read the last one, lol.

Well done. It really feels good once all shopping and wrapping is done. My son and I will be wrapping our presents for my dad and my son’s present to his dad tonight then we’re completely done. I just have a cards for some of my co-workers to do and that will be done as well.

Is it coming from him or your son? If it's from him, I'd say that is a small positive for you. I highly doubt my H is getting me anything from him this year, and I didn’t get anything for him. Why would he get me anything for Christmas, he didn’t get me anything for my birthday and he was supposedly still working on our M at that time.
