lol I hope you're still with us on boxing day and not got food poisoning. You can always take it out of the freezer on the 23rd, it wouldn't harm it If I get chicken breasts out of the freezer and in the fridge, it sometimes takes 2 days to defrost.

Don't worry TTD. The cooking instructions actually state "Do not thaw, cook from frozen" in big bold letters. I've used that brand before and never had problems.
I've done the same thing with meat - I'll take it out of the freezer the evening before and it'll still be frozen when I need it. I've started getting my son to check it when he gets home from school and if it's still frozen he'll stick it in a sink full of cold water to finish thawing.

That's ok then You forgot to mention that you can cook it from frozen, lol. That's a good idea placing the meat in cold water, I never thought of that one

I made a frozen turkey breast for Thanksgiving. But it was only for 2, and I still had to freeze leftovers! I should have made soup. Which reminds me - I have that crock pot/slow cooker - whatever you want to call it. It made it's way back over here when the W brought me the dishes. It's time I start cooking some meals!
I didn't think you could refreze turkey. Oh well, you're still here, lol. Yes get the crock pot out and start cooking some stews, just perfect for this cold weather and real comfort food

It seems that H has once again asked my son about meeting OW after Christmas. At least he is sticking to his guns by not letting H pressure him and hasn't changed his decision that he isn't ready yet. H spoke to me about yesterday and said that he has told OW and her son that our son isn't ready to take that step and they understand (too bad if they don't - but I was good and didn't say that).
H has also asked our son again about spending the night at his place and is getting resistance on this one as well. H asked me to talk to our son and see if I could change his mind. I stressed that I was not going to pressure our son to do anything he didn't want to but that I would talk to him and see if I could find out why he doesn't want to stay overnight. Of course it's probably something simple as the fact that H is living in someone's spare room and our son probably doesn't want to share the same bed as his dad - that was what H has said would happen, no offer of H sleeping on the sofa for one night.

It is probably because he doesn't want to sleep in the same bed as his dad. My H gives up his bed and sleeps on the sofa when my son comes round, at least he's considerate when it comes to that. Just a shame he's not considerate when it comes to anything involving me.

They never are, and obviously my H isn't going to be considerate to our son either in this case.
I will have a chat with my son about it, and if that is the reason, maybe I'll tell H. It'll be up to him to make the move then, won't it. If my son definitely doesn't want to stay over, maybe I'll suggest that instead of me picking him up before dinner he could have dinner at his dad's and I'll pick him around 9:00.
