I suppose I should be glad that he acknowledged I was good for something LOL. Maybe OW can't handle his PTSD episodes.

I doubt she can! I feel the same about my H's "friend", I doubt she'd put up with him as well, lol.

My H's beer buddy once told me that he'd told my H that he'd never find another woman who put up with what I did and who would do as much for him as I did. The comment went in one ear and out the other though.

That same beer buddy is supposedly popping by the house tonight to install his Netflix account on my computer - he has a bad memory so I'll not be holding my breath. He'll turn up eventually. We used to have it on the Mac that H took with him and beer buddy texted a couple of days ago to say that he'd changed his Visa so he'd need to re-set the Netflix account. He's that kind of guy - he's put the account on at least two of the neighbours' computers as well as ours and his own. Of course, he didn't put it on his XW's computer though.

Got a busy day today. This morning was groceries and a few errands. Needed to get all driving done as we've got a winter storm coming in and the way the snow is coming down right now it looks like the weather forecasters actually got it right this time.

Got one load of laundry in, with a second to go when that's done. And after lunch, I'll be making peppermint bark, peppermint fudge and peppermint cookies for the teachers' presents. My son was supposed to go to the social club at the school tonight but they cancelled it yesterday due to the expected bad weather, so it'll be dinner and a DVD instead.

And of course a glass or two of fun later smile

Gave in and shovelled the driveway despite the fact that it's still snowing. Decided it would be easier to shovel it now and again in the morning than to shovel twice as much in the morning. At least it's still light and fluffy, not the heavy wet stuff. My son is a bit disappointed as it's not snowman or snow fort building snow.

Finished off the last of the Christmas shopping this morning - a little something from each of us for my dad and of course gifts for my bosses. I'm making enough fudge to give to the ladies at work as well as to my son's teachers - it's cheaper than buying each of them a present and we usually do cookies or chocolates or something along those lines for each other. I'm thinking about picking up a couple of extra items from "Santa" for my dad and I - S13 is going to have loads to open and we're only going have one or two. I've got until tomorrow to decide as S13 is going to his dad's place tomorrow so I can quickly pop into a store while he's there.

Gonna get myself a glass of fun and put my feet up now that the snow shovelling is done.

Same here, I'm only going to have one or two presents to open and my son's got a load as usual smile I was determined that he's still going to have a good Christmas despite only having one of us here smile
Good idea making presents for staff, teachers, etc. I should've thought of that years ago smile

That seems to be the one thing my son is really stressing out about - what Christmas is going to be like without his dad here. I've tried reassuring him but I'm not sure how well that is working. Knowing what I've got stashed upstairs compliments of my wonderful boss, I know that he is going to have a fantastic Christmas but of course I can't spill the beans so he's gonna have to keep stressing LOL.

I dropped him off at his dad's and I did pop into the book store on my home. I picked up a couple of books for both my dad and I. They are now wrapped and labelled as being from Santa. I've got one more batch of fudge and a batch of cookies (really simple - in fact the first ingredient was 1 pkg of Pilsbury sugar cookie dough - how much simpler can it get) to throw together today, plus I'm going to get in some cross stitch.

At least the snow has been shovelled off the driveway and footpath, the plow has been so even that mess is cleared and we've only got a few flurries coming down now so we shouldn't have to shovel again today.

We've still not got any of that white stuff, all we've had is rain! My son's not stressing about H not being here, he's just excited about Christmas smile He's been on at me for weeks to order the turkey and as I did it yesterday that's one less thing my son has to nag me about, lol.

I picked up a frozen turkey breast yesterday so that's one less thing I need to remember. I'm all for keeping Christmas dinner simple, so even my turkey is cook from frozen. Probably a good thing - I have enough to do Christmas Eve without remembering to thaw the dinner LOL.
