Also, she is expecting to pay part of the bills; I didn't notice her saying 50% of the mortgage and nothing else. You asked the question; I think your idea may come across as passive aggressive and weak. I would not recommend making a unilateral decision about her money and converting it to cash and handing it to her like she's your teenager.
