Aiming for the PMA of a glow worm....pt 3

[Not Quitting]

I have got the world's greatest boss. She did make me cry earlier - but she's still the greatest.

Yesterday, my two bosses took me out for lunch as they do every year in the run-up to Christmas. They also gave me a $350 gift card to one of the local malls - definitely can use that. During the lunch we were talking about what our kids want for Christmas, amongst other things.

Anyways, she asks me to meet her in the parking lot today to swap mail (nothing unusual in that as we do it frequently - she works from her home office most of the time) and proceeds to tell me a story about a friend of her and her husband who have a Christmas tradition of giving money to a charity at Christmas instead of buying each other presents. She then said that she hoped I wouldn't be offended but she and her husband decided they'd like to do something similar and she went out and bought the Xbox I'd said yesterday about my son wanting and she gave it to me to give to my son - and specified that it has to be marked as coming from me, not from her and her husband. How awesome is that for a boss! She said that my son and I have had such a shi%%y year and hopefully this would make for a better start to the next year.
