SO I am gone for a few days and my thread got locked.
Here is a link to my previous thread in Piecing. I couldn't figure out how to link my Newcomers thread on here too - it was called H Unhappy and Left and the last post on it was at the beginning of November.
Mommy duty calls so I will catch you up tomorrow on my sitch. Hopefullness continues around here.
I wouldn't have come this far without the support I receive from so many of you. I have missed you over the past several days, but have thought of you often and prayed for you nightly.

I'm jealous, an outdoor skating rink. Are they a lot of work to put in? Not that I'm thinking of doing it, but if little guy wants to get into hockey might think about it. The son of a co-worker here put in an outdoor skating rink, also. It's huge!
Skated last night, under the lights, in 22 degrees with a light snow falling - it was magical! Like a picture postcard. I hadn't been on skates more than once in 20 years and I was amazed that my skating legs came back right away!
It is work to get a rink started, but also good exercise if you think about it. I grew up with one and my dad helps me get is going. We used lawn edging to outline it back in November since we haven't had much snow the past few years, but now we have more than enough - LOL! We have had over 16 inches since Sat? On top of what fell last week.
Our rink is about 35 x 55 feet this year. You can have 6-8 kids on it just skating around, but it can get crowded if you are trying to play hockey. If I get the two trees taken down this summer I will make it 55 x 70 next year. Haven't seen the water bill yet, but it isn't as much water as you might think.
I bought a thing called the rink rake (www.rinkrake.com) and it acts like a little Zamboni only using cold water. There are also instructions for making the sides of your rink and stuff on there. YOur S4 would love it. My S5 skated for the first time a few weeks ago and is doing very well. My S3 has also tried it a few times. I have them push a child's chair around to help with balance.
Maybe I'll post a picture of it one of these days. If I can figure out how to do it.

Attention all Leos - the Cainer horoscope for today:
Quote: Look at the Moon tonight. See how fat and full it is becoming. We are but hours away from the point where it will be directly opposite the Sun. And, as the Sun is now in your opposite sign, that means it will then be in your own sign. Feeling powerless? Are you edgy or apprehensive about some awkward, unresolved issue? Fear not. It is about to be thoroughly dealt with in a way that eventually brings you great satisfaction. Don't hide from anything or anyone. Just have faith now in your own entitlement to success.
I kinda like that, don't you?
Now for a brief update and positives...
1. H is here at home often.
2. We spend time together as a family and with extended family.
3. We cuddle for alone time - even in the afternoon when kids are around playing.
4. H is doing alot of acts of service around here.
5. H is taking kids on outings and errands, individually and all three together.
6. H emails me suggestive emails and we go back and forth with them.
7. H wants at all hours of the day and night, kids around or not!
8. MIL even mentioned that maybe H will just show up at home one day for good.
And I could go on and on! Thanks to you for your continued support and encouragement. I know this is getting boring, but as long it remains positive, I am all for this routine!
Well, I am off to take the kids to the Ice Palace. We may even take our skates and skate on the NHL sized rink there. The first light show (the palace has colored lights inside the structure) is a 6 and I want to see it and get back home!
Thanks for keeping me patient with my sitch!

1. H came over Friday night, got cozy (yeah, more ) and stayed overnight (has only stayed over 3 times since October), getting up at 6 a.m. before kids discovered him. 2. H came back at 9 a.m., snowblowed driveway, hung around while I ran errands, but left early with headache (around 8 p.m.) 3. H came over as we arrived home from church, cooked us a fab lunch and then went to a neighbor's wake with kids and I. Then he met friend to go ice-fishing. 4. This was H's weekend with kids but we spent it together in our home!!!!!
Boring aren't I?
Seriously, I need to journal here to remind myself that we are still in the midst of this journey back to a stronger M. H still isn't living here and hasn't mentioned doing so. Of course, I don't do R talks as I promised him I wouldn't.
So, while this seems positive, we obviously have a long way to go. For whatever reason, H isn't living here. I just continue to work on me, my goals and being the best wife, mother, daughter, consultant, etc. that I can be.
Thanks for your encouragement and support. I really do need it in my life as I have come to need all of you.
