Awww, Kat, I'm so sorry. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.
What on earth is it about holiday losses? I just found out yesterday that my uncle (he's actually my dad's uncle, but they are 10 years apart and considered themselves brothers) is on life support in the ICU.
But back to your friend. It must be beyond horrible to lose your child.
