Sorry to hear you're still having issues at college. That really s**ks. Maybe DB techniques will work there as well. I've been in those situations where I'm so much older than the rest of the girls in the lunchroom - or in a couple of cases more mature because the two older ones are tempermental and moody and act like spoiled teenagers themselves (MLC ). Sometimes its more like a kindergarten or day care centre than a professional office - we've even had to post notices about making sure the toilet is flushed properly (really, these are grown women )
If you feel more comfortable with the decorator and his recommendations, then I'd go ahead with him. It'll cost you less and you already know the quality of work he does. You have enough on your plate without chasing builders that don't call you back.
