Root canal went well on Monday. Afterwards, since I was downtown anyway, went to a movie instead of working - guess what? I'm off again this week and yes, I had forgotten again. LOL. Here's to next year's vacation being better planned!

It's hard to eat popcorn with a fresh root canal and a face full of Novocain, but I managed. Great diabetic diet that day - package of mini-donuts for breakfast, followed by movie theater popcorn for lunch.... ugh. Bought a rotisserie chicken for dinner, then remember I had half a turkey breast from Thanksgiving still. I put some in the freezer. I simply have to stop wasting food and money!

Speaking of $ - W gave me $500 for the taxes on this place - I noticed I was a month overdue paying them. Oops. It was the school tax - hate to deprive those poor kids their learnin'. wink They need all the help they can get, what with the school system. LOL

I do wonder how she managed to save $500 while I'm squeezing nickels for their blood, but.... I love how well we communicate. When I asked if there was a bill for the other house, she said she paid it already a long time ago. Last time we discussed it was weeks ago after her panicked email or text saying she didn't know what to do about paying it, and I had said let's both see what we can set aside for the next few paydays before it's due.... crazy

One thing I'm trying to take into account when W is over here, or we're out together is that a lot of her rude/b*tchy behavior comes from fear, and unresolved childhood issues. Just like a lot of mine comes from pain/health issues and worry about finances. I'd love to see her get help for her stuff, but I can't force her. I'm trying to change my frustration to empathy and also set a good example for her when when dealing with my own problems.
