We don't usually send out holiday cards, so at least there's that. But I asked my DB coach, what should I do about teacher gifts for the holidays? I asked her more in the sense that I wasn't sure whether to include H, talk to him about it, or just assume he would do his own thing, but I'm not sure the reason matters. The answer I got was, sign it something vague. Like, only write the kids' names, or write our last name - e.g., "Love, the Smiths." I like that idea because that could include myself and kids, or my H too, and the recipient can interpret however they would like. If they don't know anything, they won't think to ask, and if they do, they will know it means from me and the kids.
JMO, but I don't think a holiday card is the best way to let people know about the struggles in your personal life.
