Your mum sounds like my late aunt. She'd watch every episode of Corrie, Eastenders and Emmerdale - and I mean every episode, including the weekend omnibus episodes which are repeats of the week night episodes.

lol NQ, my mum's not that bad at least I hope not smile
Had a busy day today. My son was doing the outdoor project today at a catholic Church. They had a Christmas fair on, which I went to have a look round. Of course I had to pick up a book, I always do when I'm at these fairs as they're cheap smile I've got a lot of books now to read, I'll have to stop buying books, lol.
Went back to town and a local church also had a church fete on so I popped in there as well. Didn't spend anything here though. Roll on next weekend when my mum's cheque clears smile I'm going to be broke for the next few days.

Christmas fairs are a great place to pick up cheap buys. There's a big Christmas market in the city from 29th November to 15th December. My son and I have planned to go on the middle Saturday - the first and last ones are apparently normally the busiest.

I'll probably be broke after doing the Christmas shopping on Monday night. I'm not going anywhere near a mall on a weekend now - the one store I'm stopping in later is not in a mall but it's still going to be busy.

I'm going to do most of my food shopping online and then go to a store to get the fresh stuff smile They've got some good deals on in Tescos at the mo smile I may have to take my son late night shopping one night smile We need to get cracking now in case we get some snow! According to H we're having about 100 days of snow, but maybe he's exaggerating, lol.

We've had flurries off and on all day here. Right now it's snowing with glorious sunshine at the same time. Some of the snow is even sticking around on the grass and dirt - not on the pavements yet thankfully.

I've had a really good day today and got lots planned for Christmas and December smile
I went to Church this morning and my friend invited me back for lunch. My son went off with his dad this morning, he's staying over tonight. I didn't see H this morning as he picked son up when I was at Church.
Anyway whilst I was at my friends, we were arranging a few things to do over the Christmas period. There's a switch on of the lights in our town on Friday, so we're going to that. In December there's a carer's lunch that we're going to book for and entertainment in the afternoon, all free smile On Christmas Eve we're taking the kids to see a panto and then on boxing day my friend has invited me over to spend the day with her smile Boxing day night, I'm off out with another friend, so boxing day is back on smile I was going to cancel boxing day this year, lol.
After lunch I came home for about half an hour and then went out again to an advent reflection where we were discussing angels. We had a service and then I came home.
H put a toy mouse on my monitor again. I'm finding it funny and I hope that it's done in humour not some twisted thing on his part. It's so strange and I keep forgetting to ask him why he does it. Maybe he'll deny it to make me think I've got ghosts, lol. Well that's what a 20 year old thinks isn't it? lol.

Glad to hear you had a really good day. And it sounds like you've got a few good GALing things planned as well. And free are the best kind aren't they smile.

It is strange about the toy mouse LOL.

I'm so glad you have such great things planned for December! That is a step towards dealing with all this stress...keeping busy.

I think the toy mouse is a very indirect way of your H showing you he still cares. He is trying to make you laugh. Sure it's just a toy mouse, but they can't come right out and say anything positive now can they?

I'm glad to see you are doing well ttd! smile
