Besides, I think she rode off into the sunset with Scyho Stuff (hey, a little alliteration helps.. even if it's misspelled)!

BA, Merrick just texted me back and we're on. In the alt, we have to choose a time and a place. He's leaving for NY at 6:30 Thursday morning, so I told him we'd pick something reasonably close to him. He's in Arlington, somewhere between Bailey's, Ballston and Crystal City...

I will trade you...my station is playing only Christmas music up through Christmas. I have to listen to a Kansas City station for the next month!

Good news though, I finally was able to schedule s18's helicopter ride for today. He is taking me! Yippee!

Ugghhh! Christmas music already!!!! So sorry. Have fun on the helicopter ride - that's something I've never done!

I just bought a ticket to tonight's Fairfax Symphony Orchestra performance. They are doing selection of Rachmaninov dance pieces with a guest saxophone soloist (Carrie Koffman) who is a fantastic musician! Sadly, I am going by myself - no date available! What a loser I am!! grin

The helicopter ride got cancelled due to the high winds. Darn! We have to get this done by the end of the year. They don't have hours that work with my son's schedule. He has to take the whole day off just to do the flight.

I will keep on trying. You are not a loser! Have fun. smile

Hey Wii - I wasn't being serious (as evidenced by the "grin" after the remark). Sorry, sometimes intent gets lost in simply written words.

I actually had a pretty nice time last night - only had to buy wine for one person, was able to listen to some great symphonic music without the need to talk about it and was home at a decent hour.

Despite having a significant other - I spend significant amount of time alone. Usually I'm fine with it - even welcome it. Sometimes, especially in restaurants it makes me a bit uncomfortable. Loser? No way. None of us are.

Gineen - what are you afraid of? You've decided you want someone in your life but when you get close - you stop. You have to take that giant leap of faith. "It's Raining Men" is just a song - they don't fall from the sky - when you want something bad enough - you go for it. You have to do the work.

Everyone fears rejection but sometimes you have to risk it.

Choosing to be alone is fine & does not make one a loser. If you decide you don't like being alone - then you make a plan to change it.

Gineen,
I've been on almost ALL of the sites and met the amazing man who is spoiling me rotten and helping to heal the hurt on plenty of fish. It was the way I wrote my profile that kept the creepers away. I can send you a copy of my profile (if we can figure out how to exchange emails somehow). Truly, all of the men I met this time were amazing and happened pretty quickly.

BA,
It looks like I'm staring in the face of a relationship. We're going very slow, and he's amazing. Yet, I have to say I will miss being just me against the world and going almost everywhere alone! It helped me become who I am today. Remember, you are never alone if you like the person you are with. smile
