MH, you've asked this question before about lumber in the UK. I think we do still say 2x4, we oldies often use the old terms. I still do my weight in stones and ounces and weigh stuff out in ounces and pounds. My height is in metric though, lol. Weird eh? We wondered where you were, sleeping on the job eh? lol. It must be the late nights with the weekend w smile

Definitely more sleep required MH smile
H has been round today, I didn't see him though but he's picked up his post. I also put the BBT DVD season 1 on his post pile as he wanted to watch it and some chocs out of the box that I know are his favourite. He's took everything, including the chocs that I didn't expect. Normally he wouldn't accept any small gifts from me. I don't know if I should have done that or not, but at least it's showing him that I'm still thinking about him even though I'm not contacting him at the mo. Does that make sense or do I need a 2x4? lol.
I passed my exam today on health and safety smile It was quite funny because the girl who's always on at me said I didn't have much common sense when it came to health and safety in the salon, but she failed her exam, lol. Justice! I shouldn't gloat really should I smile hehe smile She will be able to take it again next week though smile
I revised all about the different hazard signs and the different fire extinguishers and I didn't get one question on either, lol.
Anyway off to read the rest of my emails smile

Nah, no 2x4 for the chocolates. That's a little enough thing and it was nice, with no consequences or expectations.

Or is that a 50.8 mm x 101.6 mm piece of lumber (or, if we go in actual, not nominal dimensions, a 1.5" x 3.5", or 38.1 mm x 88.9 mm piece).

Yes, indeed, I am a smart a**. Or a dumb a**, since I had to google those dimensions. laugh crazy wink whistle

Thanks for the reassurance that it was ok smile Have you nothing better to do than google those dimensions? lol. It's very quiet on here, I can't believe that yours is the only reply I've had.

TTD180, funny about the girl always on to you about lack of commonsense. Karma is so good when it works.

HWA beat me to making a comment about karma.

Wasn't online last night as H was hanging round but I'll go into that on my thread.

Well done on your test. Isnt' it always the way that what you concentrate most on when studying ends up not even being on the test. And I agree with MH about no 2x4's for the chocolates - sometimes it's the little things like that which have the greatest results smile.

Hi ttd! I've noticed that too, at times this board is dead quiet lately.

Congrats on your exam! That is terrific! That is so funny the girl that bee-yatched about you didn't pass. Karma at it's finest!

I think the chocolates were fine. It's kind of a temp check to see where they're at. I have been doing this lately with H, juuuuuust to see where he is, with no expectations on how he responds. I seriously do think they need to see by actions, once in a while, that we are still there.
