Betsey - Glad the "firemen" party went well and that you scored an unexpected friend! I'll look for your message in the alt regarding the TG game plan.
GG - That's great to hear things on the dating front are going well for you!! Since 2013 is almost over and it appears that love is no where in the air, perhaps 2014 will be my year instead.
Barb and Wii - It is looking like maybe a good idea to step back and give this dating merry-go-round a break. Especially with the situation with my father's health. Still no word yet from the oncologist on the severity of the cancer. Hopefully will hear something today.
So I received an update this morning on my father's condition which paints things in a somewhat better light. After several dialysis treatments at the hospital and some improvement in his creatine levels, the Nephrologist has determined that he is in Stage 4 of Kidney Failure and therefore will be able to postpone permanent dialysis treatments for now, however most likely sometime within the next year he will eventually need regular dialysis treatments, depending on how well he adheres to a low protein diet (with my father this is not likely as he does and eats as he wants.) The better news is the Oncologist is not convinced he has cancer in the remaining kidney as he is displaying no symptoms of cancer and the tests done so far are not conclusive. They plan additional tests but are releasing him from the hospital today. This is either because they figure he has stabilized enough to be at home, or more likely the nurses on the ward have petitioned to get him sent home since he is driving them all crazy!
BA - great news about your Dad. Keep the faith! (BTW, I'm glad that I'm not the only person in my circle who knows what a nephrologist is, and has one in their life LOL). I'll keep you all in my prayers.
Gineen - um, I guess you could start hanging around the firehouses? I wouldn't have had the access without my friend, who is dating one. I learned a lot. Go for it! But I love football, so it wasn't a hardship on me at all.
GG - Well, well, well! How awesome is this? Can I just say how excited I am for you? We need to catch up soon!
I don't have anything exciting today. I just got back from recess, um, I mean my walk, to walk off some anger building with a client who is pushing my buttons. I feel a little more calm now, probably because I talked to my mom the entire walk. She was in my pissy boat, and that always makes me feel better.
I started reading Debbie Ford's Best Year of Your Life again last night. RIP, Debbie. She's a rock star and I'm going to be doing the exercises to get better using intent techniques to get what I want. It might include someone normal (and male) in 2014.

Sometime in the past year, they did a piece on the news or in the paper on an official cuddler. I thought the whole thing was fricking insane!
Tell you what, I can save you money if you're ever tempted to hire one: go visit the local ILC/special ed program at your closest school. I'd bet half the class would hug you on sight! I've never lacked for hugs from any one of D16's classmates.
That $60/hr is more than I pay for her hippotherapy. That has got to be the stupidest thing I've ever heard!
Back to the program, already in progress...

Well personally, with the right person I'd cuddle for free and for some people you couldn't pay me enough! I guess $60 an hour fits somewhere in the middle. However, until I find the right person, I have more than enough pillows to keep me company at night!
