That's what we're here for right? And we've already decided that talking about the other things counts as GALing smile.

What, you finally got your stripper back. Don't overdo it though.

no I've not got my stripper back frown Doing it by hand for now. I'm looking forward to getting it back though, it'll be done in half the time then smile Just want this corner to be done and painted and then I can put a new cabinet there when I get it smile

That's not fun. I've seen my dad stripping the wallpaper in both our bathrooms by hand. And just when he thought he had it done, he discovered that when the wallpaper was put up decades ago, it was put up over the original wallpaper. He ended up stripping off at least two different layers.

He wasn't going to sand the wall before painting it but now has to because the original layer of wallpaper didn't come off very easily and he ended up taking off lumps of the underlying drywall as well in a few places.

What a nightmare! At least I can see the paint underneath and a very large crack as well frown May have to get some help in with this one! Hopefully the women's support may be able to help with this smile

At least when we get around to doing the two bedrooms that still have wallpaper I know they've only been papered once. Both of them will only have paint under the paper - and probably a crack or two to fill.

Now we just need to get the paint for the two bathrooms - at the moment they're both stripped down to plain wall and it's not pretty.

From pastries to stripping before I got a word in. crazy LOL. I was wiped out tonight. Had a nap on the couch. Thankfully I'm still tired - going to be a long day tomorrow, and work is not letting off the pressure one bit.

TTD, I'm glad you got your assignment done. Keep it up. Wasn't that better than getting the 2x4 treatment around here? BTW, that makes me wonder. I know Canada and the US share the same dimensional lumber sizes (even though 2x4 and such haven't actually measured 2" by 4" in years). Do they use the same terms in the UK - 2x4, 1x2, etc. for lumber? There's something that just wouldn't sound right in metric!
