We didn't have an Aldi down in the South West where I lived. M&S make a pretty decent Christmas pudding. Harrod's is also good - but it had better be the price they charge LOL laugh .

My mum used to make her own mince pies - I didn't like them either. She also made jam tarts and sausage rolls for Christmas - now those I like smile. I would always help her with the Christmas baking even if I didn't eat the results. I don't do much of my own baking as I have a real problem getting pastry to come out decently. We've got a frozen food store (similar to Iceland) here that carry good sausage rolls and I try to keep some of those in. I've even been known to have sausage rolls and chicken strips for dinner if I've forgotten to take something out of the freezer (these can all be cooked from frozen) smile.
